Ian is an educator and a student with a passion for human centered design and student led innovation.In his ten years as an executive teacher he has worked in a range of roles including student engagement, technology and policy development.

He was nominated for the ACT school leader of the year in 2018. and led educational interventions that received an ACT violence prevention award and an order of Australia recognition.

He is a Professional Associate at The University of Canberra and is a Doctoral candidate with a focus on the use of design thinking in the educational setting.

Prior to his work as a teacher Ian worked in TV and Cinema with his production featuring at festivals such as TropFest, Palm Springs, and the Berlin flim festival.

Benjamin Hall

Ben is one of Australia’s leading educational thinkers that has experience as a Principal in both primary and high school settings.

He is an expert advisor to the professions governing body at the Australian Institute of Teachers and School Leaders (AITSL) that visioned the Australian Teaching and Principal Standards.

Ben has a strong understanding of the business of education and the importance of preparing schools for their economic future. Ben is known for his commitment towards icorporating human design approaches into his work and for his vision to ensuring that a strong education is available to all children, regardless of their context or challenges.

Darren Menachemson

Chief Impact Officer

As Ed Institute’s Chief Impact Officer, Darren works to ensure that Ed’s curricula are authentically positioned to create long-term impact for society, and that its service is accessible and inclusive for all young people around the world.

He is also a partner in world leading design-for-good company ThinkPlace and serves as its Chief for Digital Societies and Chief Ethicist, and is a non-executive director of ThinkAction, an international public health collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.

He has led the design of breakthrough, award-winning school curricula, and his masters research focused on corporate governance and ethics and how they contribute to or impede child rights.
